Elderberries have been used over the centuries to treat and sometimes prevent colds, flu and help with allergy relief. They are an immune booster packed full of antioxidants. Made in small batches to maintain quality and consistency, my syrup is never watered down and the elderberries are cooked down to a thick syrup with ultrafiltered water. Local honey from a farm down the road is exclusively used. Honey from the local area can desensitize one from seasonal allergy suffering! Honey is also an antioxidant powerhouse. Crystallized ginger is used for its anti inflammatory effects, relief of nausea and is also an immune booster. Cassia, Ceylon and Korintje cinnamons make the syrup taste amazing and act as an antioxidant and anti inflammatory. Clove powder can kill off bacteria and also serves as an antioxidant. The syrup can be taken straight as it tastes amazing or added to tea. Elderberries are never to be eaten raw as severe nausea can occur and should only be taken when it’s powerful properties are needed.
